Sister Alberta Rohrkemper

ROHRKEMPER, Sister Alberta SNDdeN Was born in Dayton, Ohio and died at Mount Notre Dame Health Care Center, Cincinnati, Ohio Monday, Sept. 17th 2007 at the age of 92, she was in the 74th year of her religious life. Sister Alberta is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Helen Mary Rohrkemper, a brother Albert and a sister Mary. She leaves a sister, Cecilia (Joseph) Benezra, a brother, Rev. Charles Rohrkemper and two nieces, Helen (Robert) Alig and Cecelia (Robert) Andzik. Sister Alberta taught at Notre Dame High School in Chicago, Ill. Mount Notre Dame in Cincinnati, Ohio, Notre Dame High School in Hamilton, Ohio and Julienne High School in Dayton, Ohio. She worked in the Marianist Mission Office in Dayton and was Catechist and Eucharistic Minister at Holy Cross Parish in Dayton, was Pastoral Care Volunteer at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Visitation will be Wed., Sept 19th 3:00 - 6:45 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 7:00 P.M. at the Chapel at Mount Notre Dame Health Care Center in Cincinnati. Internment will take place Thursday, Sept. 20th in the Convent Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Retirement Fund of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur 701 E. Columbia Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45215. Schmidt- Dhonau-Galloway Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
