95 Trooper, South Australian Bushmen (3rd contingent). Based at the Castle, Cape Town. Died from shock in the military hospital, Cape Town following an operation for a compound fracture of the femur sustained in an accident with a horse in Cape Town aged 33 years. He is commemorated on the Boer War memorial in Maitland Cemetery. He is also commemorated on the Adelaide Boer War memorial and the Australian War Memorial.
