Peggy Ann Lloyd Meyers, 84, of Elizabeth, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016. The daughter of the late Earl and Gladys (Cole) Lloyd, she was born Oct. 29, 1931, in McKeesport. She was a member of Bethesda United Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth and served as a Deacon there. She was also a past officer of the Navy Officers' Wives Club and was a longtime volunteer for the American Red Cross and was a lifelong classroom aide and mentor. A loving and devoted wife and mother, she is survived by her husband of 63 years, retired U.S. Navy Commander, Walter Thomas Meyers; daughters, Karen (Fred Fisher) McKee, of Julian, Calif., and Peggy Ann Meyers, of Redding, Calif.; sons, Douglas (Roberta) Meyers, of La Mesa, Calif., David (Robin) Meyers, of Keller, Texas, and Walter T. (Wendy) Meyers, of Elizabeth; and grandchildren, Aaron, Adelyne, Alita, Amos, Samantha, Walter III, Jacob, Mackenzie and Griffin Meyers, Conner and Zachary Crockett and Jonathan, Michael, Amanda and Megan McKee; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Mason, Alexander, Elisabeth and Peyton Jae; and numerous nieces and nephews. Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Craig Thomas Meyers; sister, Beverly Stricklin; and brother, Kenneth Lloyd.

Memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, in Bethesda United Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Walter F. Pietschmann officiating. Private burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. Arrangements are by the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 6028 Smithfield St., Boston, Elizabeth Township.
