Passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 5, 2016. Age 77 years. Mary Alice Warriner was born November 3, 1938 in Saginaw to Louis and Alice (Rosenfield) Warriner. They predeceased her. She married Elton L. Hales June 21, 1957. He predeceased her October 19, 2006. Mary was a practicing Christian. She was employed as a nurse's aide at St. Mary's Hospital and retired in 1997 after 30 years of service.
Surviving are her children: Jeff (Linda) Hales, Diane (Daniel) Powlus, David (Cindy) Hales, Steve (Andrea) Hales, and Michael Hales; a son-in-law Charlie Schattilly; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Gurney; two brothers, Eugene and Paul (Karen) Warriner; many other loving family members and friends, and her beloved pet and companion Xena. Mary was predeceased by her daughter Janet Schattilly August 8, 2005, a sister Margaret Roth, and a brother Jim Warriner.
Funeral service will take place 2PM Friday, January 8, 2015 at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland Road, (S. M-47). Interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family welcomes friends to visit at the funeral home on Friday from 10AM until the time of service.
