Mother Freeman was Employed by the Metro Police Department as a Crossing Guard in the Sixth District after training. She was assigned to the corner of Texas Avenue and C Street, SE at Mary H. Plummer Elementary School. She was affectionately known as the Crossing Guard Mom"(wiping noses, making sure the children were properly.
