BEAVER CROSSING — Nancy McAndrew, 54, of Beaver Crossing died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, in Beaver Crossing.
Private family services will be held. Volzke Funeral Home in Seward is in charge of the arrangements.
Nancy was born on Dec. 20, 1961, to Paul and Noelle (Anderson) Swanson in Grand Island.
She was a graduate of Centura High School near Cairo. She attended University of Nebraska Medical Center for her bachelor of science in nursing and received her registered nurse credentials.
On Oct. 17, 1985, Nancy was united in marriage to T.J. McAndrew at First Baptist Church in Alliance.
In 2004 Nancy was accepted into the elite Master of Science Nurse Anesthesia Program and received her diploma from Kansas University Medical Center in December 2006. She was a self-employed certified registered nurse anesthetist and enjoyed working at many different hospitals, both with the patients she helped and the staff that she came to consider as close friends.
Nancy is survived by her husband, T.J. McAndrew of Beaver Crossing; a son, Jamie (Stephanie) McAndrew of Lincoln; a daughter, Ashleigh (Justin) Browning of Lincoln; grandchildren, Madisyn Daisy and Callan James; parents, Paul and Noelle Swanson of St. Paul; a brother, Russ (Janelle) Swanson of St. Paul; and sisters, Lori (Steve) Vaughn of Grand Island and Tammy (Steve) Zurbuchen of Lincoln.
Nancy was preceded in death by a son, John Thomas McAndrew.
