Barbara Jean Hardesty, 90, of Monroe, IN formerly of Terre Haute, died at her residence on Wednesday, December 02, 2015. Barbara was born on August 20, 1925 in Terre Haute, IN to the late Lloyd and Myrtle (Padgett) Wakefield. On May 1, 1949 she married Elzey Robert Haresty; he preceded her in death in 1960.
Barbara was a member of the Faith Wesleyan Church in Terre Haute. She was a homemaker and a secretary.
She is survived by two sons, Michael (Donna) Hardesty of Lyford, IN and Greg (Jan) Hardesty of Monroe, IN; a brother, Byron (Nan) Wakefield of Jupiter, FL; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.
Per Barbara's request there will be no visitation or services.
