Morris G. Wood passed away on December 30, 2015 at HarborChase Assisted Living.
He was born February 7, 1920, in Anderson, IN and resided in Anderson until 2012. He was a graduate of Anderson High School and a member of the 1937 Anderson High School State Championship Basketball Team. He graduated from GMI (Kettering University) and retired from Delco Remy in 1982 after 43 1/2 years as an Industrial Engineer.
He was a member of New Horizons United Methodist Church, Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and a Lifetime Member of the Elks Lodge 209.
He is survived by his daughter, Sue McCollum; granddaughter, Shelley (Keith) Strnad and great-grandchildren, Hailey, Megan and Charley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann (Vandenbark) Wood; daughter, Karen Ann Wood; mother, Thelma Billhymer and father, I. J. Wood.
Memorial donations may be made to New Horizons United Methodist Church, 611 E. 53rd Street, Anderson, IN 46013.
Services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at 2:00 p.m.
