Alice (Louise) Macik, 92, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015 at home in Jacksonville, FL. Louise was born in Manor, Ga. to parents Troy and Rosa James. She is predeceased by both of her parents, and her siblings Mildred, W.D., Marion, Troy, and Carey. Louise was employed by Dixon Powder Maker for 20 years where she worked as an antique furniture finisher. She was very active in her church, Westside Church of God of Prophecy, and was a member for over 50 years. Louise loved to crochet, garden, and was very happy doing outdoor activities. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Nick Macik, her daughters Faye Bullard and Sandra Macik, her sons Roger Darrell, Gary (Becky), and James (Sharon) Macik, and her grandchildren Ronald Alan, Donna (deceased) Jamie, Roger, Selena, Wayne, and Nickolas Macik. She also leaves to cherish her memory 17 great-grandchildren and several brothers and sisters. The family of Louise will receive guests for a visitation from 11am-1pm Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at The Church of God of Prophecy, 1862 Fouraker Road, Jacksonville, FL 32221. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm at the church. Burial services will follow at 2:30 pm Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Riverside Memorial Park.
