Louise Golec McCoy, age 92, of Oskaloosa and formerly of Lovilia, passed away January 5, 2016 at the Oskaloosa Care Center in Oskaloosa.

Louise was born April 22, 1923, in Rex 4, a coal mining camp in Monroe County, Iowa to Santo and Luigia (Lucaora) Sebben. She graduated from Lovilia High School, Class of 1940. She was united in marriage to Edwin Golec in March of 1960. They shared 29 years of marriage before Edwin's passing in 1989. She later married Hugh Ben McCoy on October 1, 1995. They shared 20 years of marriage before Hugh's passing in 2015.

Louise lived and worked in Chicago doing secretarial work for 40 years before moving back to Lovilia. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and Altar and Rosary Society in Lovilia. Louise enjoyed music and loved to dance. She had a heart of gold, loved children, her neighbors and spending time with family.

Louise is survived by her step-children, Robert (Margaret) McCoy of Coeur d'Alene, ID, James (Vida) McCoy of Pella, and S. Michael (Julie) McCoy of San Antonio, TX; 8 grandchildren, Michelle, Molly, Jennifer, Claire, Benjamin, William, Matthew and Garrett; and 2 great grandchildren. Louise was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Santo and Luigia; her husbands, Edwin and Hugh; 2 sisters, Antonette DeMarchi and Emma Tenerowicz; 5 brothers John, Angelo, Geno. Mario and Joseph Sebben.

No visitation is planned.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2016 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lovilia, with Father Patrick Lumsden officiating. Burial will follow services at St. Peter's Cemetery in Lovilia.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to St. Peter's Cemetery in Lovilia. They may directed to St. Peter's Catholic Church, P.O. Box 8., Lovilia IA, 50150.
