Dwayne Cameron Lawson, 58, of Sevierville began his walk with his Heavenly Father on Monday, January 4, 2016. He was a member of Alder Branch Baptist Church, an employee of Sevier County Electric System for 37 ½ years, and a part-time employee of Atchley Funeral Home. Working through the hands of the excellent doctors and staff of Dr. Richard Depersio, Dr. Srinivas Boppana, Tennessee Cancer Specialists, and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, God gave Dwayne seven years after his diagnosis. God then sent angels from Amedysis Hospice, including Patti, to assist him on his journey to his Heavenly Father.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his father, Frank Lawson; father-in-law, Walker Catlett; brother-in-law, Jerry Latham; grandparents, Sherman and Alice Baker, and Loy and Lecta Lawson.

A Celebration of Life will be held 7 PM Thursday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Hutson and Rev. Gary Baker officiating. Graveside service and interment will be 1 PM Friday at Alder Branch Cemetery.
