Sister Rita Ann Fish, age 82, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, died early Monday morning, January 4, 2016 at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. The former Rita Ann Fish was born on January 9, 1933 in Marquette, Michigan, daughter of the late Wilfred E. and Mary (Morin) Fish. She entered the Convent in 1950 and professed her vows in 1953. Sister Rita Ann earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in education from Silver Lake College, Manitowoc, WI. Sister Rita Ann served as a Nurse Aide at Memorial Hospital, West Point, Nebraska; a Primary teacher at St. Joseph, Green Bay, Holy Rosary, Kewaunee, St. Mary, Clarks Mills, St. Gabriel, Neenah, St. Mary, Hilbert, Holy Rosary, New Holstein, all in Wisconsin; St. Nicholas, Zanesville, Ohio; San Xavier, Tuscon, Arizona. After retiring from teaching, she was a helper with various housekeeping tasks at St. Joseph Home, West Point, Nebraska; laundress at San Damiano, Slinger, Wisconsin; and a member of the service team and helper with tasks assigned at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Since 2010, she had resided at St. Rita Health Center at the Motherhouse. She was a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity.Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Sister Rita Ann was the only survivor of a set of triplets. She was also preceded in death by her parents: Wilfred and Mary (Morin) Fish; her step-mother: Lenore; four brothers and two sisters-in-law: Edward (Agnes), Wilfred (Blanch), John and Donald; two sisters: Ethel and Alice; and three step-brothers: Tom, Bill and Brian.Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Holy Family Convent Chapel, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Placid Stroik, OFM with burial at Holy Family Convent Cemetery, Manitowoc.The family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016.
