Harry Compo 51, Newark Del, formerly of Watertown and a veteran of WWII ended his life at his home according to word received by his sister. The body will arrive here tonight for a private committal service at 11 Saturday morning at North Watertown. Surviving him are his wife. Mrs. Almeda Compo: a three year-old son, Duane Evan Compo; three sisters, Mrs Sweeny, Mrs. Gerald P. (Ruth J.) Fulton and Mrs. Stuart L. (Dorothy U) Frank, and two brothers. Roy A. Compo and Clinton G. Compo. Another sister Mrs. Roy L. (Adelia A.) Crandall of this city died here March 2, 1939, at the age of 41 years. Mr. Compo was born in Watertown Jan. 16. 1914. a son of Clinton G. and Jennie Horr Compo. His mother died here at the age of 57 on Oct. 23, 1929. His father died here Nov. 10. 1940, at the age of 70 years. Mr Compo served in the army more than two years of the war in the European Theater. Mr. Compo married twice. He and his first wife, Elinor were divorced years ago. Eighteen years ago he moved to Newark, Del, and had since been employed In the automobile plant of the Chrysler corporation in nearby Wilmington, Del. He remarried about four years ago.
