Howard was a devoted member of Solid Rock Outreach Ministries and served as an Elder. He was a member of The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and also attended Georgia College and State University. Howard leaves to cherish his memory his devoted and loving wife of forty one years, Mary Oletta Penland Dixon, one daughter Mersadies Denise Dixon of Milledgeville, Georgia, twelve sisters, Annie Green, Juanita Brown, Louise Baker, Nettie M. Harden, Lillie M. (Andrew) Bonner, Willie L. (Horace) Bouknight, Grace ( Jimmy) Wallace, Rozetter Williams, Shirley Worthen, Darlene James, Denise (John) Woodard, and Agnes (Lorenzo) Strother, three brothers, Joseph Dixon, James Dixon, Herbert Dixon, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
