PIONEER, OPERATOR OF SAWMILL, SUCCUMBS

BRIGHAM CITY, July 1--Wil-
liam E. Burrell, 80, pioneer settler
and sawmill operator of Brigham
City, died at the family home Mon-
day.
He was born July 25, 1854 in Salt
Lake City, a son of John B. and
Mary Pulsipher Burrell. His wife,
Mrs. Elma Hillstrom Burrell, died
in Brigham City seven years ago.
Mr. Burrell had operated a saw-
mill in Paradise Creek for many years
until poor health forced him to re-
tire. He was an active member of
the L. D. S. church.
He is survived by six sons and
daughters, William W. Burrell,
Rock Springs, Wyo.; Carl T. and
Maude A. Burrell, Mrs. Clara B.
Paulson and Mrs. May Sisson, Brig-
ham City and Eugene W. Burrell,
Hollywood, Calif. There are 13
grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are under
direction of the Desert Mortuary
of Ogden.
