Info from the Genealogical Abstract of Rev. War Pension Files, Vol. II extracted by Virgil D. White, p. 1628 says Henry Higgins (R4982) SC line. Sol. Appl. 22 Oct. 1840 Habersham Co., GA, aged 86. He lived in York Dist. SC at enlistment, Richland Dist.SC, then to Greenville Dist., SC, then to Franklin Co. GA then to Habersham, GA.
A son, Reubin, aged 62, made affidavit 5 May 1853 in Gilmer Co., GA and stated soldier died November 1845 leaving a widow, Mary G., who died 4 April 1846, and that they had married 10 Dec. 1787.
Since there does not seem to be a record of Henry's burial place, we respectfully submit this virtual memorial until his resting place is found. (If this is a duplicate I have not found the original.)
