Edith was working as an 8th grade teacher when she met and married Floyd T. "Tom" Day in 1928.
Edith and Tom lived first in Bell, and later in Pomona where they raised three children. Edith returned to teaching after her children were grown. She also loved sewing and gardening.
Edith is survived by her husband, Tom; daughter Jo Sigler of Pomona, sons John of Escondido and Robert of Redondo Beach; five grandchildren, and sister Mary Clark of Whittier. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Lee Nelson, AliceBurritt, Annie Cobb, and Laura Cate.
Services were held at Todd Memorial Chapel, followed by entombment at Pomona Mausoleum.
