Louise Bills Alexander, born January 3, 1922, passed away on January 3, 2016 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky, Bowling Green, Kentucky. Mrs. Alexander was a retired teacher from Goodlettsville Elementary School and taught from 1942 until 1948 at Hardison School in Lewisburg, TN. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Goodlettsville, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Carrie Cathey Bills, her husband, James Thuss Alexander, three brothers, Ralph, Thomas, and Roy Bills, Jr. as well as two sisters, Helen Miller and Annabel Burgett.

Survivors include her son, James Thuss Alexander, II of Murfreesboro, TN, a daughter, Cathey (Wes) Alexander Green of Bowling Green, Kentucky, three grandchildren, Emily (Chris) Davenport, Joshua B. (Robin) Alexander and Adam W. (Elan) Green, four great-grandchildren, Cordelia Green, and Benjamin, Madeline, and Amelia Davenport.

Mrs. Alexander's funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with Roger Reid officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Lone Oak Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Miller, Bob Bills, Bill Bills, Frank Bills, John Bills, and Gary wells. Pallbearers will be Wes Green, Chris Davenport, Josh Alexander, Ben Davenport, Bryson Alexander and Ed Alexander.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Marshall County Memorial Library or a library of your choice.
