Clara Baker McEachern

Mrs. Clara Baker McEachern, 84, of Shongaloo, LA died Sunday night, January 5, 1992 at Humana Hospital in Springhill following a long illness.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 8 at 10 a.m. at the Baily Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Byrd L. Terry officiating. Burial followed in the Old Shongaloo Cemetery with Order of the Eastern Star rites, under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Inc., Springhill, LA.

Mrs. McEachern was a native and lifelong resident of this area and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Old Shongaloo Methodist Church and was a member of the Shongaloo Chapter #177 Order of the Easter Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Connie B. McEachern, on July 1, 1987.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Peggy Lindsey, Sumter, SC; one son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Janice McEachern, Picayune, MS; one brother, Mr. William "Seb" Baker, Springhill, LA; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Lindsey, Michael Lindsey, Frank McEachern, Jr., Tobie Dean Baker, James L. Baker and James R. Mayfield.
