Brian Arthur Jennings, 39, of Franklin, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 2, 2016.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of Josephine Shepherd Jennings and the late Paul Jennings. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Scott and Eric. Brian was a graduate of WCU and received his Master’s from The University of Southern Mississippi. He was a teacher for Macon County Schools for many years. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church; Knights of Columbus,Saint Michael's Council 8363 for 16 years; Blue Ridge Public Safety; Cowee Volunteer Department and EMT. Brian was a loving precious son, father and friend to all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his mother, Josephine Jennings, he is survived by two sons, Isaac Jennings and Aaron Jennings; sister, Darci Fee of Portland, OR; brother, Mark Jennings of Portland, OR; two nieces, Taylor Johnson and Kasey Johnson and his ex-wife, Edith Jennings.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 7, at St. Francis Catholic Church. Father Tien Duong will officiate. Knights of Columbus, Great Smoky Mountain Assembly #3001, will serve as Honor Guards.
