He and LaVona served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Visitors' Center in Palmyra, New York.
His wife; two daughters, Vicki Preece (Stuart) and Jill Leonard (Tony); a son, Dennis (Deann), a daughter-in-law, Geri Williams; grandchildren and great grandson survive him. Predeceased by two sons, Philip and Roger.
