Patricia Wheat, age 80, of Tyler, Texas passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021. Patricia was born on Wednesday, January 15, 1941 in Port Author, Texas.
Pat married the love of her life, Fredie, on Friday, February 14, 1964 at the Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. She was a very active member of the Calvary Assembly of God church in Tyler, Texas. Pat was a registered nurse for ETMC and Mother Frances hospital, and became an at home health nurse in her later years. She enjoyed decorating cakes and flower arrangements for weddings and other special events. Most of all, Pat loved being outdoors with her family, watching the water and listening to the birds.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Fredie Lin Wheat; sons, Lin Wheat, Jerry and wife Gayle Wheat, and Duane Wheat; and sister, Marilyn Kirkland.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Howard Narretto and Mary Jones.
A time of visitation for Patricia will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home. A celebration of life will occur on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, following the graveside service at 3:00 p.m. in the Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.
