VALLEY - Miss Phyllis M. Beck , 76, of Valley died Monday, April 1, 2013, at Lanier Memorial Nursing Home in Valley.
Funeral services are scheduled Wednesday, April 3 at 4 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Lanny Sledge officiating. Burial is to follow at Johnson Memorial Gardens.
Miss Beck is survived by three siblings, Pat (Sammy) Ruiz and Donnie (Lana) Beck , both of Valley, and Gail (Alan) Roop of Columbus, Ga.; nieces and nephews, Scott Roop, Steven (Lauren) Roop, Daniel Roop, Tammy B. (Jody) Edmondson, Don Beck , Roddie (Hollye) Beck , Todd (Teresa) Beck and Neil (Dana) Beck ; eight great-nieces and great-nephews; and six great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Born July 15, 1936 in LaGrange, Miss Beck was the daughter of the late George and Elsie Beck . She was a registered nurse and had worked for more than 30 years at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital. Miss Beck enjoyed traveling to Tennessee and Florida. She was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Beck , and her nieces, LaGail Brown and LeAnn Ruiz. Miss Beck was a member of Lanett Congregational Christian Church.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3 to 3:45 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
