Janice L. Blair, 73, of Coleville, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015, at the Hershey Medical Center. Born on May 15, 2015, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Charlotte (Bitner) Grubb, however, the person who raised her and whom she considered and gave the loving title of mom to her grandmother Betsy (Henry) Grubb. On August 21, 1966, in Bellefonte, she married Edgar J. Blair who preceded her in death in 2004.
She was a graduate of the Bellefonte Area High School.
Janice was a homemaker.
She attended the Church of the Good Shepherd in Bellefonte.
Janice is survived by two sons; Scott Alan Blair of Coleville and Brian Blair of Bellefonte, one daughter, Lori Blair Houser of Bellefonte, three brothers; Gary “Guz” Grubb of Bellefonte, Nelson Grubb of Coleville, and Richard Grubb of Bellefonte, one step sister, Margaret Shivery, and five grandchildren; Kyle Blair, Jace Houser, Alissa Cogan, Toni Cadman, and Shane Homan.
In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy and two loving aunts; Dorothy Holt and Lois Rossman who she considered more like sisters.
There will be a public visitation held Tuesday, January 5, 2016, from 12pm until 2pm, with funeral services immediately following at the Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. 206 North Spring Street, Bellefonte with the Rev. Frank E. Skies officiating.
Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Bellefonte.
