Robert Gene Milam was born on January 1, 1944 in Spear, Oklahoma to Marvin and Edna (Mock) Milam and passed from this life on January 1, 2016 at the Dallas VA Hospital in Dallas, Texas at the age of 72.

Robert married Hazel (Noland) Piearcy on March 3, 1988. They were blessed with 27 years of marriage. Robert proudly served in the United States Army as a radio operator in the 24th medical battalion and security guard from 1962 to 1963 in Germany. He worked for the Southwestern Freight Co. for 14 years. He worked for Frank’s Garage and many years for Frank’s Grocery. Robert loved to go arrowhead hunting, fishing, garage selling, and working cross word puzzles. He was a very good cook and he loved to help Hazel cook when he was able but most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Howard, Jr. and Tommy Milam; sister in laws, Hack, Barbara and Linda Milam and Wilba Fults; brother in law, Raymond Noland; nephews, Tuck Milam and wife Lana, Tommy Lee Fults and Jerry Fults; brother in laws, Manuel Fults and Billy Ray Titsworth and son, Jayson Piearcy.

Robert leaves behind his beloved wife Hazel Milam; sons, Bruce Milam, Blaine Milam and Gail Land and Robert Piearcy and wife Vickie; brother, Burl Milam and wife Doris; sister in laws, Joyce Titsworth and Foye Curtis; grandchildren, Blaise Milam, Harley Hathcock, Levi Milam, Emily Milam, Destiny Pugh, Montana Milam, Kay Lyn Jordan, Taylor Piearcy, Tanner Piearcy, Madison Bailey, Ethen Gann, Masie Gann and Kylee Gann; very special nephew, Phil Milam and wife Lajuana; special friends, Brandon Kelley and wife Laci and son, Braylen and Carla Fox; numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 6th at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow in Bokchito Cemetery.
