The memorial service for Furman H. Evernham will be at 1p.m. Friday at Hillcrest Chaple, Medford. Inturnment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Evernham, 82 of Central Point, died Monday Jan.11,1993. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Providence, P.O. Box 4548, Medford, Oregon 97501.
He was born April 15, 1910, in Glenwood, Iowa. On Dec. 21, 1935, in Belvedere, Ill., he married Clarice Easton,who survives. After living in the Rogue Valley from 1937 to 1963, they moved to Paradice, Calif., until returning to the valley in 1991.
Mr. Evernham worked for the Pierce-Allen Motor Co. as parts-man and bookkeeper. In Lakeview he worked ar the Buick dealership, in Medford in accounting for Commercial Finance, and in Ashland managed Hearin Lumber Co.
He also had worked for the Frank J. Dutra Inc., cattle company in California's San Joaquin valley, and as certified public accountant in Oroville, Calif.
In Ashland he was a master and past commander of Malta Commandry 4. He loved horses. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son R. Dean Evernham, White City, Ore.two daughters R. Diane Schofield, Eagle Point, Ore., Janice N. Bowman, Phoenix, Arizona. Eight grandchildren, Three step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
