Karen Sue Allison, 78, of Kokomo, passed away at 2:05 PM, Friday, January 1, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital Kokomo. She was born June 19, 1937, in Dunkirk, Indiana, to Francis LaTurner and Margaret (Reed) LaTurner. On September 8, 1956, she married Paul Eugene Allison. He preceded her in death November 19, 2010. She graduated from Argos High School in 1955. She was a Teacher’s Aide at Taylor Elementary School and retired in June of 1999 after over 20 years of service. She was a member of Highland Park Church in Kokomo, and a member of Friendship Extension Homemakers Club in Kokomo for over 60 years. Karen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include, a son, Douglas Allison and wife JoEtta of Anderson; son, Roger Allison of Indianapolis; daughter, Kimberly Milburn and husband Brook of Cass County; brother, Robert LaTurner and wife Mary of Normal, Illinois; four grandchildren, Noah and Jacob Allison, and Brett and Rebekah Milburn.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Jean Allison.
Services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday at Highland Park Church, 516 W. Sycamore Street, with Pastor Ed Vasicek officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.
