Joe Bob McDaniel, 83, of Arlington went to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 1, 2016. Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Joe Bob was born Nov. 7, 1932, in Brady to William and Roberta McDaniel. He was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church and was an usher and greeter. Joe Bob was a Mason and Shriner. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Eva Joycelyn Brown on Nov. 7, 1954, in San Saba. In his early years he was a superintendent at Bell Helicopter and retired in 1995 after 34 years. He loved gardening, fishing and spending time with his family. Survivors: His wife of 61 years, Joycelyn; children, Mike McDaniel of Venus, Sharon McDaniel of Arlington and Greg McDaniel and his wife, Kathy, of Burleson; and grandchildren, Taylor, Mallory, Kacie and granddog, Maddie. He is also survived by a special sister, Hortense Mann; and many more nieces and nephews.
