Cynthia D. Garner, 46, of Mexia, passed away on January 2, 2016 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Porter Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bill Wright, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow at Wortham Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Garner was born on August 5, 1969 in Wortham, Texas to Willis & Gladys Garner. She was retired from the Mexia State School.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children, Ashley Garner of Mexia, Jennifer Garcia & husband, James of Coolidge and Stephanie Garner and spouse, Junior Garcia of Mexia; grandchildren, Alex & Alexis of Mexia, Zaynie, Keegan, Maleah and Harley of Coolidge, Darian, Even and Kendel of Mexia; brother, Randal Garner and wife, Donna of Italy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers are Keith Smith, Charlie Bowman, Michael Bell, Brian Parsons, Jermane Burks, Richard McGowan, Paul Brim and Raymond Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers are Junior Garcia, James Garcia and her grandsons.
