Vol.1&2 p.312 - Mrs. Mary Ann Coleman. Committed by Wm Churchman Co. Judge of Sonoma. Is originally from Missouri - Is about 32 yrs old. Married and has six children - Has been periodically for three years (sic) - Insanity commenced during pregnancy, became better after childbirth has had two children since her first attack and became very violent immediately before the birth of each of them. Admitted Jan. 10th 1858. Address her husband Wm M. Coleman Santa Rosa, Sonoma Co. Disch'd Oct. 17/61

Age thirty eight years; married; native of Illinois; has resided in this State fourteen years; was last from Missouri; habits good; cause of insanity, puerperal, has been affected eight years; class of insanity, mania; present condition fair (Has been in this Asylum before see commitment No.259 page 312) Admitted April 5th 1864. Has no property. Died December 25th 1864.
