Writer. Also known as "Isoo Oguri," he was a native of Aichi prefecture and became a member of the "Ken'yusha" group of writers. He studied under Koyo Ozaki whose work "Konjiki yasha" he finished on behalf of his mentor after his mentor's death. Most of Oguri's works fall into the category of realistic family drama in the style of Emile Zola. "Seishun (Youth)," completed in 1906, is probably his best known work. He rests at the Jincho Temple Cemetery, Toyohashi-city, Aichi Prefecture.
