Memorial services for former McCurtain County resident Bertha Jane Wilson will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the White Sands United Methodist Church, north of Valliant on Pine Creek Road. Burial will follow in Baken Cemetery, Valliant.

Mrs. Wilson died Feb. 21 in the Florin Health Care Center, Sacramento, Calif. She was 81.

A native of Valliant, Mrs. Wilson had lived 28 years in the San Francisco Bay area, seven years in Pacifica, Calif., and the last seven years in Sacramento.

She was a member of the First American Indian Baptist Church in San Francisco for 41 years, and was a Sunday School teacher and youth choir leader.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Felker and Stella Austin; and a brother, Ervin Austin.

Survivors include three brothers, Bill Baken, Buddy Austin and Benny Austin, all of Valliant; a sister, Eva Parrish, Riverside County, Calif.; four sons, Jonathan Wilson of Alaska, Calvin C. Wilson Jr., Pacifica, Anthony Wilson, Los Angeles, Calif., and Max Wilson of California; one daughter, Linda Wilson, Sacramento, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
