Marion – James J. Kigin, 70 formerly of Terre Haute IN died at 9 am Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at home. He was a veteran of the Army and reserves. He was a Catholic. He retired from U.S. Bureau of Prisons in 1986 and then became an agent for Farmers Insurance Co. and retired in 1999. Funeral Home is Wilson-McReynolds and burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
He was born May 26, 1933 in Terre Haute to Lawrence C. and Mary Catherine Holloway Kigin. He married Barbara Ann Kyle July 28, 1954 and she survives. He is survived by 8 children, daughters Diane and Michael Truran and their children Tiffany and Kyle of O'Fallon; Mary Jane Bradley and her children, Jeremy, James and Megan of Normal; Teresa and Caeey Hill and children, Kigin, Anna and Owen of Atlanta GA; Emily and Anthony Chamness and children, Jordan and Conner of Cordova TN; Rosemary and Lance Gribble and children, Luke, Cassie and Clayton of Marion; sons; Michael James Kigin and children, Kristina, Michael, Allen and Kaitlyn of San Diego CA; Thomas Francis Kigin and daughter Kamber of Tampa FL and Lawrence and Patricia Kigin and children, Kevin and Collin of Marion, and sister Mary Murphy of Terre Haute IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters Ann Graff, Patricia Shcnell and Barbara Gaffey and 3 brothers, Robert, John and Joseph Kigin.
