Gladys Powers Hunt, 71, of 1984 Mudlick Road, Salt Lick, passed away Sunday June 12, 2011 at her residence after an extended illness.
Born October 30, 1939 in Bath County, she was the daughter of the late Sanford and Ada Reffitt Powers.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Hunt, 3 daughters, Ritha Ison, Linda Hardin and her husband Joe and Lois Cline and her husband Robin, all of Salt Lick, 3 sons, Rocky Hunt and his wife Pam, Darrell Hunt and his wife Bonnie and David Hunt and his wife Jenny, all of Salt Lick, 3 sisters, Elsie Scott, Carrie Easterday and Pauline Ward, all of Wabash, IN, 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a special friend, Nancy Helton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Matthew Hunt in 1990 and Robert Hunt in 2009.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday June 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Easterday and Bro. Willard Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Hunt Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM 9:00 PM Wednesday
