He faithfully served at L.Z.B.C., Queen St., Hampton in various ministries for many years. He retired from B&F Contracting after 40 years of service. A WWII Veteran, he also retired from the Hampton Auxiliary Police Dept. after 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. Darden; Son, Douglas W. Darden; Daughter, Brenda Joyce Hughes (Ricky); Granddaughter, Tasha Catrice Hughes; Grandson, Michael Darrell Darden.
He leaves to cherish his memory two Sons, John G. (Susan) and Michael D. Darden of Hampton; faithful Daughter-In-Law, Jacque S. Darden (Doug); five Grandchildren, Kevin & Doug Darden, Richard Hughes, Christon Darden, John Darden and James Darden all of Hampton, VA. He leaves 5 Great-Grandchildren, Amaya Reavis (Kevin), Morgan Hughes (Richard), Michael Darrell II, Kalimah A. & Christon R. Darden II all of Hampton, VA.
Interment at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
