Mary Lee Campbell, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at age 94, surrounded by her family on December 30, 2015. She was born on September 23, 1921, in St. Louis, MO and was lovingly adopted by Ben and Lydia (Wagoner) Marley. After the passing of her father when she was 16 a very special step father entered her life, Dan Robinson.
Mary Lee was a lifetime resident of Christian County, who grew up in the Linden area, graduating from Ozark High School in 1939. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ozark, and a longtime member of the GFWC Utopia Club of Ozark and several other organizations. Mary Lee married Glen Campbell on July 29, 1940, and they had 53 wonderful years together.
Three of the things in life Mary Lee enjoyed the most was attending horse shows and watching her family show the family horses, attending her grandchildren's and great grandchildren's sporting events and activities. Mary Lee and her husband, Glen were co-owners of Campbell Ford, she also worked at Blair Pottery as an artist during her younger years.
Mary Lee is survived by two daughters Glenda Nichols, husband Ted, and Sandy McKee, grandchildren Brian Nichols and wife Kim, Brad Nichols and fiancé Kylee Hutchings, Josh McKee and friend Brooklyn Ballowe, and Stormy McKee and great granddaughters Rylee Nichols and Ellie Hunt. Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Roger & Alice Campbell.
Mary Lee was preceded in death by her husband Glen, her parents, Ben Marley, Lydia & Dan Robinson, brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Estel & Caroline Campbell, Lucille & Leland Melton, Leola & Loren Fitzpatrick, Clifford & Maggie Sue Campbell, Louella & Lowel Baird.
Burial at Selmore Cemetery.
