Johnnie Leon Hayes, 71, of Georgetown, Tennessee passed away Wednesday January 7, 2015. A resident of Georgetown for 10 years, he was formerly of Collegedale, Tennessee. He was a former employee of Honors Golf Course where he worked for 10 years and was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Lawrence and Minnie Susan Houston Hayes; sister, Shirley Morgan and two brothers, Steve and Travis Hayes. He is survived by son, Roger "Spider" (Kristie) Hayes of Ringgold, GA.; daughter, Susan Wood of Rossville, GA.; two sisters, Maggie (Leslie) Smith of Pikeville, TN. and Mary (Harold) Hayes West of Buffalo, S.C.; three brothers, Larry (Rose) Hayes of Hixson, TN., Thomas Hayes of Pikeville, TN., and Lawrence Hayes of Pikeville, TN.; five grandchildren, Steffenie (James) Cooke, Lance Hayes, Natalie Hayes, Nathan Teems and Tiffany Teems, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday graveside at Catoosa Memorial Gardens with Rev, Dennis Chambers officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12-8 P.M. at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to T.I.C.U. staff at Erlanger, Mr. and Mrs. Hal Graham, Debra Graham, David and Denice Harder and Michael Rector.
