Actor. Born Donald Yearnsley Wilson III, native of Houston, Texas, he is best known for his role as Nathan Arizona Huffhines, Sr. in "Raising Arizona" (1987). He also portrayed the father of singer Pat Benatar in her "Love Is A Battlefield" music video, in which she plays a runaway. His other credits include the films "Drive-In" (1976), "Three Warriors" (1978), "Vampire Hookers" (1978), "Three-Way Weekend" (1980), "Big Blonde" (1980), "A Soldier's Story" (1984), "F/X" (1986), "End Of The Line" (1988), "The House On Carroll Street" (1988), "Married To The Mob" (1988), "Great Balls of Fire" (1988), "Bull Durham" (1988), "Welcome Home" (1989), and the television programs, "Law & Order", "Crime Story" , "Spenser: For Hire", "The News Is The News", and "Dallas." He was also a talented stage actor. At the time of his death, from a brain hemmorhage at age of 40, Wilson was set to play a crime boss in "Miller's Crossing". The role eventually went to Albert Finney. Director Jonathan Demme dedicated "The Silence of the Lambs" (1991) to Wilson's memory.
