Mrs. Mary T. Dyer, 77, of 23 Audubon Rd, a retired New England Telephone Co. traffic supervisor, died Tuesday in St. Joseph's Hospital. She was the widow of Francis A. Dyer.
A Warwick resident for 44 years, she was born in Providence April 8, 1899, a daughter of the late William and Mary (Dowling) Halloran.
Mrs. Dyer retired in 1964 from the telephone company after 25 years. She was a member of the New England Telephone Pioneers Association and St. Xavier Alumni Association.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Howard Sisson Jr and Mrs Leroy C. Boyd, both of Warwick; a brother, William T. Halloran of Cranston, and 14 grandchildren.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9am from the Frank P Trainor and Sons Funeral Home, 859 Broad St., Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Peter's Church, Fair Street. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
