Mrs. Kerley was a graduate of Athens High School in 1935 and Springfield School of Beauty Culture in 1937. She worked for W.B. Tipps Barber and Beauty Shop. She was co-owner of Harold's Restaurant for over 30 years and worked for the secretary of state in the driver's license division as a data input operator III for 10 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Lakeside Christian Church and AARP.
Surviving are her husband, the Rev. J. Willard; two daughters; three stepdaughters; two sons; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; a sister, Wilma C. Hale; a brother, Lyle C. Doom.
Services at Bisch and Son Funeral Home. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
