Thomas S. METCALF, Sr., age 74 of Bridgeport, died on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at his residence.
Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Reverence Hospice of Saginaw or the hospice of one's choice.
Tom was born April 17, 1941 in Dyer County, Tennessee to the late Troy and Maggie Jo (Hosea) Metcalf. He married the love of his life, . . . April 27, 1960 in Sparta, North Carolina. Mr. Metcalf is a U.S. Army Veteran. Tom retired from Buick in 1994 with 30 years seniority and was a member of the UAW Local #599. He was also a member of the Gold Wing Road Rider's Motorcycle Association. Tom enjoyed woodworking, classic cars, golfing, volleyball, playing pool and Joker with his friends.
Above all, Tom loved spending time with his family; they were all his pride and joy. Tom was loved a lot by his family and was always there if anyone needed anything. He was a good provider, wonderful husband and dad and his wife's best friend.
