Mrs. Dickens was a native and resident of Hancock County. She worked for J.P. Stevens for many years and later worked for the Sparta Ishmaelite. She was preceded in death by her father and mother James and Clemmie Jackson Thompson and husband Wesley Lamar Dickens. She was a member of Sparta Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter Pamela Stewart Grier of Douglasville, three grandchildren Chelsea May, Myles Grier and Meghan Grier, four grandchildren, Launa Raines, Aubrey Grier, Kadence Slay and Kolby Slay and nieces and nephews.
