Portland....The Rev. Turley R. (Red) McCloud 82, of Portland, Indiana, died Wednesday at the Community Car Center West, Portland.
He was a minister and an evangelist. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church and attended Redkey community Church.
McCloud was born September 7, 1915, in Roachdale, to Levi and Anna Merritt McCloud. His first wife Margaret Snowden, preceded him in death in 1979. He later married Donna M. Wheat who survives.
Survivors also include a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Craig of Portland; Two sisters, Mrs Raymond (Doris) McCloud of Roachdale, and Mrs. William (Fanny) Jones of Gosport, Indiana; five grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2pm on Friday at the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home in Portland, with Bishop O.P. William Burton and Rev. Emmitt Collett presiding. Burial with graveside services will follow at 1pm Saturday at Roachdale Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon to 2pm Friday at the funeral home.
