Robert "Bob" Harvey, 78, of Booneville died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000 of chronic lung disease at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Graveside services were held Nov. 28 at the Booneville Cemetery.

Bob Harvey was born July 16, 1922 to Reece Harvey and Myrtle Smith near Perry. He married Darlene Forret on May 18, 1945.

He was a member of Adel Faith Lutheran Church and Adel American Legion, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, four brothers, Floyd Harvey, Bud Harvey, Tom Harvey and Fred Harvey; and one sister, Hazel Manning.

He is survived by two sons, Jim Harvey of Van Meter and Bruce Harvey of Anderson, Mo.; one brother, Henry "Duke" Harvey of Waukee; two sisters, Dora Allen and Dorothy Allen both of Booneville; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to the Booneville United Methodist Church. Ochiltree Funeral Service and Aftercare of Winterset handled the arrangements.
