RHODES, Russell Lee, age 85, of Centerville Ohio, passed away on February 6, 2014 at Kettering Memorial Hospital.

Born in Huntington, West Virginia, Russell was a graduate of Marshall University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Following his military service in the United States Army during the Korean War, Russell joined Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, where he worked as Human Resources and Organizational Development Manager in locations including Portsmouth, Toledo and Akron, Ohio, as well as at Goodyear's International division in the Philippines.

In retirement, Russ was an active volunteer at Kettering Memorial Hospital for over ten years, and had a deep love of good food, stimulating conversation, classical music, singing, and spending time with his family.

Russ was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Martha Millard Rhodes. He is survived by his son David and his wife Patricia, daughters Elizabeth Wenck, Rebecca Ulrich and her husband John, and Deborah Rhodes. He will be greatly missed by his surviving grandchildren, Megan and Aaron Rhodes, Chandra and Kali Wenck-Bergman, and Kristoffer, Robyn and Michael Ulrich.

Russ will join his wife Martha in burial at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Akron, Ohio. A private memorial service will be held in Akron.

If desired, the family suggests and greatly appreciates donations to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Akron, Ohio, and or Kettering Memorial Hospital, Kettering, Ohio, in lieu of flowers.
