Aug. 6, 1929-Dec. 19, 2015 Elmer Earl Wallace, a resident of Mobile, AL, went to be with the Lord on December 19, 2015 at the age of 86. Born on August 6, 1929 in Birmingham, AL, he was the youngest son of James Francis Wallace and Mary Jane Beaird Wallace.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Corrine Joyce Wallace; son, Wade Alan Wallace and six older brothers.

He is survived by his son, Stuart Earl (Jamey) Wallace; granddaughters, Savanna Rose Wallace and Aimee Wallace; grandsons, Kaleb Wallace and Anthony Bolton; nieces; nephews and other relatives. After completing high school, Elmer enlisted in the Navy and served in the Korean Conflict where he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal for wounds suffered in combat. When he returned to civilian life, he married, became a computer programmer and worked for several insurance companies in Texas. Upon retirement he and Joyce moved to Mobile, AL where he remained an active member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church as long as he was physically able.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Cottage Hill Baptist Church on Cottage Hill Road in Mobile, AL followed by interment with military honors at 2:30 PM in Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 34904 Alabama Highway 225, Spanish Fort, AL.
