William Charlie "Bud" Adams, 82 of Martin's Mill, Texas passed away peacefully at home on December 6, 2015. Although born in Padukah, Texas on the Matador Ranch where his father worked at the time, Bud spent most of his childhood years in DeKalb, Texas. He served four years in the US Army primarily in Europe. Bud married Mary Richards in 1958. Prior to moving to the Martin's Mill community, they lived 39 years in Scurry, Texas.

Bud was a devout and righteous man having served as an elder with the Scurry Church of Christ as well as the Central Church of Christ. He retired from the Dallas Fire Department in 1983 after 27 years of service. During his life, Bud also enjoyed carpentry and farming with a special love for growing watermelons.

Bud is survived by his wife, Mary, of 57 years; children: Scott Adams (and wife Darlene), Gregg Adams (and wife Rhonda), and Wendy Brantley (and husband Lynn); grandchildren: Doug Adams, Amie Wallis (and husband Joseph), Haley Kouvaris (and husband Nick), Cody Brantley (and wife Abi), Boot Brantley, Ethan Adams, and Erin Adams; great grandchildren: Maggie Groom, Matson Adams, Jack Wallis, Charlie Beth Wallis, and Sage Brantley; 2 siblings: Carl Adams and Bobbie Hensarling and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family whom he loved. Bud was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to so many.

Bud will be laid to rest at the Holly Springs Cemetery in Martin's Mill, Texas.
