Co.I,25th Va.Inf.Regt.William T. Ware was the son of George Washington & Julia Ann (Taylor) Ware. He had 4 brothers George W. Jr., Benjamin T., Harmon L. and Thomas C. Ware. 1 sister Sarah Ann (Ware) Channell. On Aug. 21st 1865 he married Dorothy Hutton Channell and they had 8 children. Sylvester Warrick, Vesey, Elverda B., James Snyder, Rev. Edgar Bertram Ware, Rev. Henry Steven Ware, Jesse O. Ware and Wellie A. Ware. William T. Ware served under Capt. J.W. Mathews 25th Va. Inf. Reg. Co. I "Immortal 600 (1864) Cross of Honor.
