Betty L. Christian, 88, of Urbana died at 8:40 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 31, 2015) at Heartland Health Care, Champaign.
Betty was born Dec. 11, 1927, a daughter to Fred and Myrtle Christian. One of 10 children, she grew up on the family farm east of Pesotum, attending church and school at St. Mary's.
She is survived by her siblings Don (LaVerne) Christian, Rita (Marshall) Skinner, Jerry (Dixie) Christian, Jim (Carol) Christian and Carol (Jack) Hatchel; sister-in-law, Pat Christian and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gene Christian and sisters Mildred Birtcher, Anna Marie Arseneau and Mary Ann Davis.
Betty lived and worked in the Champaign-Urbana area her entire life.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Urbana.
