Teresa Gail Sims, 48, passed away Tuesday, July 29,2014 in Bowie, Texas.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m Saturday August 2,2014 at Freedom Life Church in Bowie, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. at Old Alton Cemetery in Denton, TX.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 P.M. Friday August 1, 2014 at Freedom Life Church.
Teresa was born January 16,1966 in Bowie, TX to Charles and Lorene (Madwell) Spann. She worked as a CNA for over thirty years. She was passionate about caring for people. Her family was her life. She would go above and beyond to help anyone in need. Teresa was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a three time cancer survivor.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Lorene Spann; and sister Virginia Parish.
Teresa is survived by her four children, Heather Chappell and husband Justin of Bowie; Marcie Kaiser of New York; Jason Sims of Bowie; and Cody Welsh of Wichita Falls, TX; one grandson, Hinson Chappell of Bowie; two brothers, Joel Spann and wife Cheryl of Ponder, TX; Jerry Don Williams and wife Carol of Waurika Ok; and one sister, Charlotte Walker of Decatur, TX; four stepbrothers; two neices, Amber and Sydnee Spann; one nephew Lane Spann; great niece Kyleigh Spann; aunt Clara and uncle Herschel Boyd of Nocona, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
